What does the Ramadan challenge involve?
Over the 14 days you will be guided through 2 easy to follow phases, each slightly varied to whether you're fasting or not.
To complete your challenge:
- TRAIN: Attend any 3 BARE workouts each week. (The challenge package include x3 classes per week, bookable in advance via our website or booking app)
- EAT: You can optionally track your eating, or we'll give you a meal plan. You pick! (more details FAQ below)
- SUPPORT: Become a member of the temporary challenge whataspp group where you will receive expert coaching and ongoing support from your active social community.
What will the Ramadan class schedule look like?
All morning classes will remain the same times. Evening classes will be 4:30pm, 6:30pm and 8:00pm (This is to encourage those fasting to train right before they break their fast, so to not be heavy or be sluggish in late workouts)
When will my challenge start? And do I need to pre-register?
Your challenge starts on Monday 10th March. Ideally you will do your body scan on this day (or on a day soon before)
You will please need to pre-register by purchasing the promotional ‘Ramadan Challenge’ package. We will be in touch soon after with everything else you need to know.
What if I have unused BARE credits?
Don’t worry, during your challenge we’ll freeze these for you upon request.
What nutrition plan must I follow?
You will be given two options. Either you may track your food, where we will give you targets for calories and macros (we will show you how!). Alternatively, we will provide a meal plan based on your body composition scan. Non muslims will also be encouraged to fast during a section of the day, with the inclusion of liquids.
Special dietary requirements? No problem! We have options for most needs.

How does the training work? What classes can I do?
BARE workouts are unrivalled for calorie burn and developing lean muscle mass (ensuring you burn fat rather than muscle during Ramadan). You are therefore free to attend any BARE class you wish throughout your challenge (bookable in advance via our website or booking app).
For those fasting, we will advise how best to safely and comfortably approach the classes, and recommend class times that will offer you optimum results given the change in your routine.
The ‘Ramadan Challenge’ package includes a total of 6 BARE classes, split into 3 each week, which are the number of weekly workouts we require for you to see big changes in your body composition over the challenge.
What if I want to workout more than 3 times per week?
Three BARE workouts per week is all we require for you to see some serious progress in your body composition over the 14 days. Results are 70% nutrition, 30% training and we will be placing heavy emphasis on what you eat.
However, if you want to attend BARE more frequently throughout your challenge, supplementary classes can be purchased for the special challenge rate of AED 80 per class.
I consider myself a beginner. Is this challenge for me?
Definitely! We introduce anyone new extremely gradually. You will be encouraged to go at your own pace and enjoy the experience.
